The brightest light level could be a shade brighter for reading by, the dim level is fine for any necessary night-time moving around. The facility to charge is very useful (in an old-ish house with far too few sockets) and the reason I bought this lamp. All in all a decent buy.

Great for use as a bedside lamp. No danger of knocking it over and easy to switch on andoff with touch. You can switch it off with a long press without having to cycle through the brighter settings.
